Words from our CWO Andy Cooper-
I have been involved both with the coaching of children and child welfare since 2011 when my son joined his first football club.
I was elected as Head Coach shortly afterwards and subsequently gained the following qualifications;
Level 1 Award in Children’s Coaching
The F.A Safeguarding Children Workshop
The F.A Emergency First Aid Course
As my day job, I work in the private security industry as both a Close Protection Officer and a Tier 1 Surveillance Officer. I am also a qualified Level 4 teacher and deliver training courses on both of the above subjects. A large part of my job involves looking after the children of ultra-high net worth individuals so I have an excellent understanding of the importance of child welfare.
As part of my personal CPD and to assist me as the TXC Child Welfare Officer, I have also completed the following relevant training;
Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
Level 3 Award First Person on Scene Emergency First Aid
Level 3 Award in Education and Training
Certified Advanced Ski and Snowboard Technician
I have travelled extensively throughout Europe and have a good grasp of the French language. I’m able to communicate effectively with the athletes and the parents and regular updates are given while we are in camp.
For children with specific needs, such as dietary requirements or medical needs such as diabetes, these can be managed on camp by myself and the coaching staff.
Please do not hesitate if you need to contact me.
